We had a hearing scheduled for May 26th. On the afternoon of May 25th, the Judge rendered a "tentative ruling" and stated that we had until the 25th (the day of the tentative ruling) to respond. Upon learning of this, I thought it must have been a typographical error. The Court also scheduled us for a settlement conference on the 31st of May, and we were working towards a settlement.
I just found out the tentative ruling is now permanent because we did not respond by the 25th deadline.
