Professional Fiduciaries Bureau

The Professional Fiduciaries Bureau was created by California legislation that passed and was enacted into law in 2007 to regulate non-family member professional fiduciaries, including conservators, guardians, trustees, and agents under durable power of attorney as defined by the Professional Fiduciaries Act.

Professional Fiduciaries must comply with reporting requirements and must abide by the Professional Fiduciaries Code of Ethics so that client matters are handled responsibly and without conflict.

The Bureau accepts complaints filed against licensed professional fiduciaries subject to the licensing laws under the Professional Fiduciaries Act (Business & Professional Code §6500 et seq.) and its regulations.  You may view the statutes and regulations on the Bureau’s web site or contact the Bureau to request copies.
